How It Works

Our dedicated case managers and outreach staff assist veterans and their families across New Hampshire in achieving and maintaining secure housing. Services include:

  • Housing Counseling: Guidance to secure and sustain stable housing.
  • Benefits Assistance: Help accessing programs, including VA benefits.
  • Referrals: Connections to healthcare, legal services, and financial planning resources.
  • Financial Assistance: Support tailored to case management goals.
  • Comprehensive Veteran Support: Links to Harbor Care’s veteran transitional and supportive housing programs when appropriate.

With funding from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Harbor Care serves hundreds of households across New Hampshire each year.

Qualifications & Application

We can assist any veteran who has completed 24 or more hours of active duty and meets the following criteria:

  • Experiencing economic hardship.
  • Homeless or facing a housing crisis.
  • Residing in New Hampshire.
