Elizabeth Cox brings more than 25 years of clinical and administrative leadership in behavioral health to her role as Director of Behavioral Services. A Licensed Mental Health Counselor, she has built her career on advancing evidence-based practices and developing high-performing multidisciplinary teams to meet the needs of individuals with complex behavioral health challenges.
Elizabeth has directed large-scale service systems, including outpatient programs, PACT teams, respite care, and community-based supports, overseeing hundreds of staff and guiding programs to achieve measurable outcomes. She has led the development of innovative programs, such as non-DMH respite services and intensive residential care models, and has been a key contributor to statewide initiatives in suicide prevention, trauma-informed care, and risk assessment.
With a proven record of fostering staff development, Elizabeth has mentored numerous clinicians toward licensure and leadership roles. Her passion lies in improving care delivery, expanding access, and ensuring that services remain person-centered, recovery-oriented, and responsive to community needs.
Elizabeth holds a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Antioch New England University and a BA in Psychology from Plymouth University.
