Ed McDonough is the Vice President of Operations for ABA Centers and a partner across several healthcare and behavioral health organizations, including ABA Centers, GateHouse Treatment, MAT Care Clinics, Integrative Healthcare Center, and Exact Billing Solutions. He is also the President and CEO of McDonough Enterprises; a portfolio organization engaged in multiple healthcare ventures and operational advisory work.

Ed began his professional journey with GateHouse Treatment when the organization served just 26 clients. Over the years, he helped build the core structure, culture, and operational systems that enabled GateHouse to grow into a leading behavioral health provider serving hundreds across the New England region. He went on to serve as Chief Executive Officer of GateHouse Treatment for seven years, overseeing significant organizational growth, program development, and expansion while strengthening the company’s clinical and operational foundations.

In his current role as Vice President of Operations for ABA Centers, Ed oversees operations, organizational infrastructure, and strategic growth across 10 states, supporting thousands of individuals with autism receiving Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. His leadership centers on scalable systems, operational excellence, and ensuring high-quality care delivery across a rapidly expanding national footprint.

Earlier in his career, Ed completed an internship with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts at the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office under District Attorney William Keating. Following college, he progressed through a variety of operational and leadership roles across several industries. He began his work in healthcare at Tewksbury State Hospital and later with Lahey Behavioral Health, where he gained firsthand experience in complex clinical environments and the operational demands of behavioral health and human services organizations. These early experiences helped shape his management philosophy and laid the foundation for his later leadership in behavioral healthcare.

Ed’s dedication to community service deepened through his work with Harbor Care. After volunteering with Keystone Hall and the HIV/AIDS Task Force, he joined the Harbor Care board, inspired by the transformative impact these programs have on individuals and families throughout New Hampshire. In his board role, Ed is focused on expanding access to housing, strengthening behavioral health and recovery services, reducing substance misuse, and ending Veteran homelessness, a core mission priority for Harbor Care.

Ed is an alumnus of Curry College, where he was also a member of the varsity hockey team. He has served on the Mayor’s Opiate Task Force in Nashua, NH, as well as the Nashua Substance Misuse Prevention Coalition and the Regional Substance Misuse Prevention Coalition. In 2019, he was recognized by the Nashua Telegraph as one of the community’s 40 Under 40 honorees for his leadership and service. In his free time, Ed enjoys coaching high school hockey.
