Harbor Care Proudly Announces Two New Community Partnerships Supporting Families and Youth

Harbor Care is proud to announce two new partnerships that strengthen our mission to provide housing, healthcare, and supportive services for families and young people across Greater Nashua. These collaborations—one focused on children whose mothers are in recovery, and another supporting youth exiting homelessness—expand our community network and deepen the impact of our work.
Supporting Children and Families at Cynthia Day Family Center
We are excited to share a new partnership between Harbor Care’s Cynthia Day Family Center and the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Nashua. Through this collaboration, children living with their mothers in treatment now have regular access to the Club, where they can participate in athletics, academic support, and social-emotional wellness programming. Free transportation is provided to and from Cynthia Day, ensuring every child is able to benefit from these opportunities.
By offering a safe, structured space to learn, play, and build confidence, this partnership helps children continue to thrive—while giving their mothers uninterrupted time to focus fully on their recovery.
“We are thrilled to be working with the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Nashua. Their programs provide great experiences for the children in our care, bolstering our family-centered approach.”
— Henry Och, President and CEO of Harbor Care
Expanding Transitional Housing for Youth Experiencing Homelessness
Harbor Care is also partnering with the Front Door Agency as part of their innovative pilot program supporting youth experiencing homelessness in Greater Nashua. As part of the collaboration, the Front Door Agency is utilizing several Harbor Care apartment units to provide transitional housing and coordinated care for seven young adults ages 18 to 24 who are exiting homelessness.
This model combines safe, stable housing with wrap-around support—laying the groundwork for long-term stability, self-sufficiency, and brighter futures.
“We are proud to partner with Harbor Care on this vital pilot program supporting youth and young adults experiencing homelessness in Nashua. By providing safe, transitional housing and coordinated care for young adults ages 18 to 24, we are creating a foundation for stability, growth, and hope. This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to compassion, dignity, and opportunity for all members of our community.”
— Maryse Wirbal, CEO of Front Door Agency
