Darsi Russell, Mental Health Clinician
Darsi received her Master of Arts degree in Counseling from Rivier University. She is a licensed clinical mental health counselor for Harbor Care. She works with adults ages 18 to 80; she focuses on individual therapy. She specializes in working with the victims of domestic violence or abuse, as well as lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, and queer individuals, as well as those living with chronic illness such as HIV/AIDS.
She provides treatment for: anxiety, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, adjustment disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, stress, grief/loss/bereavement, cultural issues, sleep disorders, gender identity issues, human immunodeficiency virus / acquired immune deficiency syndrome, physical/medical illness, parenting issues, substance misuse, suicide, and women’s issues, as well as anger management.
Darsi joined Harbor Care as a case manager working with individuals with chronic mental illness. Since then, she has worked for several programs within the agency. After taking a two-year break in 2005 to complete her education, Darsi returned to Harbor Care in 2007 as a licensed clinical mental health clinician. She believes in this agency’s mission, and feels strongly about being able to help individuals in need. Darsi says she most values working with the staff of Harbor Care, who “truly care about the clients we serve...and I’m proud to be part of that.”
