Host a Peer-to-Peer Fundraiser: An easy way to help people experiencing homelessness

The homelessness crisis can be overwhelming. Here is an easy way you can help.

You can make a huge impact and spread awareness to your friends and family.

Are you having a birthday or other milestone? Do you want to make a difference? Instead of gifts or accolades, you could ask for people to help fight homelessness. Or perhaps you’re tired of just listening to the news, and you want to do something about it. Here are some tangible and meaningful ways you can easily make a difference:

  • Raise $100 and help provide a veteran with a week of stable housing.

  • Raise $250 and help with training, certification, work clothing, equipment, and other supports to help an individual back into the workforce.

  • Raise $500 and help stock the cupboard and other essentials for a family moving into safe housing.

Setting up a Peer-to-Peer Fundraiser is easy and helps you spread the word quickly about helping individuals with no place to live this winter.

It’s an effective way to bring people together under a common cause. It gives them a sense of purpose and the ability to support you in a cause you care deeply about.

It takes less than three minutes to set up your fundraising page.

Start by clicking the link below:

http://weblink.donorperfect.com/HarborCare/2023DignityofHome

Select Create my own fundraising page.

A pop-up window will appear. Enter your name and email address and click “Create My Page."

A window will appear to confirm that you have successfully created your crowdfunding campaign.

Your peer-to-peer fundraising page is all set up and ready to share.

You do have the ability to personalize it if you would like.

Check your email. You should have received 2 emails from Harbor Care (j.jackson@harborcarenh.org)

The email “Personalize your Crowdfunding Page” is where you will go to access your page and personalize.

Click on the “Personalize My Page” button in the email and you will be able to edit your goal, story, image and more.

At the bottom of the email, you will find your shareable link to your fundraiser.

This is the link you would post on your social media or text to friends and family.

The second email is a ready-to-go email to share with friends and family.

Just be sure to delete the reminder at the top and forward to anyone that you feel would be interested in supporting your cause.

It is as easy as that.

Thank you for helping us help those who find themselves without a place to live during the difficult New England Winter!
