Alison Madden, Board Member

 Dr. Alison Madden joined the Harbor Board in 2021. Harbor Care provides our community with broad reaching programs and vision and she is honored to help provide guidance through her participation in the Board. Dr. Madden serves as Vice President of Medical Affairs/ Chief Medical Officer at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua.

She is originally from New York City and graduated from Barnard College with a degree in Art History. She then graduated from Weill Cornell Medical College and did her residency at Cedars Sinai in Los Angeles. She stayed on after residency to serve as Assistant Residency Director and started clinics for Ob Gyn in east Los Angeles as well as partnering with Los Angeles Free clinic to help provide health care services to homeless and underserved communities.

More recently she was Chief of Ob GYN at St. Vincent’s hospital in Worcester and Assistant Professor of Ob Gyn at Umass Medical School where she also worked to expand clinics for underserved populations. During her time at St. Joseph she worked on establishing a transfer process to help critical access hospitals find services for their patients at St. Joseph Hospital. She was instrumental in St. Joseph Hospitals response to Covid 19 with surge planning, community testing and vaccination efforts.

She was part of the team that helped to open St. Joseph Senior Behavioral Health Unit to help care for our communities geriatric psychiatry patients in 2020 and is committed to helping our community.
